In November of 2025, an attempted robbery at the Marshall branch led to substantial building and equipment damage that closed the branch. Following extensive review and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision not to reopen the Marshall branch.
This decision was reached after evaluating a number of factors, including employee and member safety, operational requirements, and the long-term sustainability of the location. The branch has experienced multiple security incidents and has been a frequent target for robbery. We have a responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment for both employees and members.
The safety, security, and well-being of employees and members were central in this decision. Given the circumstances, we are unable to securely and sustainably operate this location for our employees and members. We are actively working with the Town of Marshall to explore options for the future of the building. Our employees who previously worked in the Marshall branch will continue working in their new locations.
Ongoing support for our members
We will continue to provide our members with access to products, services, advice, and banking support through nearby branches in Lashburn and Lloydminster and other convenient banking channels. Since November 2025, members have successfully accessed services through these alternative channels. We thank you and our members for the loyalty you have shown your credit union as we navigate this transition.
We recognize the impact this news may have on our members and the Marshall community. This was not a decision made lightly. Although the branch will not reopen, our commitment to our membership has not changed.
