For each resident not counted, your municipality (Village, Town, RM) loses over $400 (per person) from Provincial and Federal annual grants.
The census cycle covers 5 years, so for every person not counted this is $2,000 over the cycle.
If one average family of 4 is missed, this is $8,000. PLEASE DO YOUR PART, it takes less than 20 minutes.
If you don’t then your municipality is going to have to make up for that loss by levying higher property taxes.
In the last cycle, Town of Marshall officials were reported that as many as 65 people were missed. There was nothing we could do about it, but $130,000 in the past 5 years would have greatly helped our community.
