Street has reopened.
Due to a water main break, 1st Street SE between Railway Avenue and 2nd Avenue will be temporarily closed for a few hours today, Friday, September 21, 2018.

Hydrant Flushing
Please be advised, the Town will be flushing out the hydrants on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 and Thursday, September 20, 2018. You will experience brown water and lose water pressure. Please be patient as it will clear up. Please refrain from using water unless necessary. Thank you for understanding in this matter.
Road Closure
Due to railroad maintenance, CN Rail and RM of Wilton will be closing the railway crossing in Marshall and Twp Rd 688 effective Tuesday, September 11, 2018 and possibly Wednesday, September 12, 2018.

Minister's Order
As per the Minister's Order, dated August 2, 2018, Garry Christian and Cory Tavener, have been appointed to act as members of council for the Town of Marshall and will remain in effect until the vacancies are filled by a By-election which will be held on September 26, 2018.

Sidewalk Project
The new/repair of sidewalks is now underway. This project has commenced on the east side of Town. The areas affected will be 3rd Avenue East, 2nd Avenue East and 1st Avenue East.

A Statistics Canada employee is currently in town, verifying address information to be used for programs such as the 2021 Census.
Council Meeting Cancelled
The regular scheduled Council meeting for tonight, July 10, 2018 at 6:30 pm, has now been cancelled due to no quorum.
Recycling Changes
Please be advised, there are some changes to the recycling program due to the disruption in worldwide recycling markets. A flyer, explaining what is and is not acceptable, was set out with all Utility Bills. If residents do not adhere to these changes, and choose to continue to recycle those items that are no longer acceptable, the Town may have to look at alternative solutions.
