Minister's Order
As per the Minister's Order, dated August 2, 2018, Garry Christian and Cory Tavener, have been appointed to act as members of council for the Town of Marshall and will remain in effect until the vacancies are filled by a By-election which will be held on September 26, 2018.
Passing of Mayor Brian Shiloff
With heavy hearts, we regrettably announce the sudden passing of Mayor, Brian Shiloff. Please keep his family, friends, Deputy Mayor Dave Hardy, Councillor Kevin Gilbert, Administration and Public Works in your thoughts and prayers. A private family service will be held.
Sidewalk Project
The new/repair of sidewalks is now underway. This project has commenced on the east side of Town. The areas affected will be 3rd Avenue East, 2nd Avenue East and 1st Avenue East.

Notice of Call For Nominations
Stanley Cup
Braden Holtby and the Stanley Cup will be at the Lashburn CN Sportsplex on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Please join the celebration and show Braden your support.
Office Closed
On Wednesday, July 18, 2018, the Town office will be closed from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Statistics Canada
A Statistics Canada employee is currently in town, verifying address information to be used for programs such as the 2021 Census.
Council Meeting Cancelled
The regular scheduled Council meeting for tonight, July 10, 2018 at 6:30 pm, has now been cancelled due to no quorum.
Recycling Changes
Please be advised, there are some changes to the recycling program due to the disruption in worldwide recycling markets. A flyer, explaining what is and is not acceptable, was set out with all Utility Bills. If residents do not adhere to these changes, and choose to continue to recycle those items that are no longer acceptable, the Town may have to look at alternative solutions.

2018 Tax Notices were mailed out on June 19, 2018. Please contact the office if you have not received your notice.
Septic Pumpouts
Starting June 19, 2018, Blythe Vacuum will be pumping out septic tanks on the West side of Town.

Septic Pumpouts - West Side
Pending road conditions, septic pumpouts should begin next week, on the west side, starting Monday, June 11. If you want to be home when your tank is pumped out, please contact the office, and we will pass your information onto Blythe Vacuum.
Spring Cleanup Bins
During Council's 'Draft' Budget Meeting, it was decided that the Town will not be providing Spring Cleanup Bins, due to the misuse, extra costs incurred by the Town and additional time Town employees had to spend sorting items that were not acceptable.
Council will reconsider this discussion again next year.
Residential Garbage Collection
Residential curbside garbage and recycling collection will resume tomorrow, Tuesday, May 29, 2018.
Publice Notice
Notice is hereby given that in accordance with the Public Notice Policy Bylaw adopted by the Town of Marshall in accordance with The Municipalities Act, the following items will be discussed by Council of the Town of Marshall at its meeting to be held on May 29, 2018 at 6:30 pm at the Town Office.
2018 Draft Budget
Garbage Collection Update
GFL and the Town have decided to delay curbside garbage collection for 1 more week in order to give the roads a bit more time to dry up. The large roll out bin will remain in town for residents to dispose of their bagged household garbage.
